The
West Hartford Public Library is looking for a tech-savvy librarian to
help staff our Local History Room. This position involves updating and
organizing databases and digital resources, collection development,
managing the Local History webpage, providing reference services
including assisting patron research, and other duties as needed.
Applicants should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, an interest in
genealogy, excellent customer service and communication skills, and be
able to work independently. The ideal candidate will be familiar with
West Hartford and interested in learning more about its history.
Candidates must also be available to work day, evening and occasional
weekend shifts, 14-18 hours per week. MLS required. Salary: $35.18/hour.
Sick leave is provided consistent with State of Connecticut
Regulations, but there are no other benefits associated with this
position.
