Youth Services Librarian I, Full-time - The Ferguson Library is seeking an enthusiastic and creative individual to provide library services for children birth through grade 12. The successful candidate will have outstanding customer service skills, strong oral and written communication skills, knowledge of children’s literature and programming, and the ability to work collaboratively within the Youth Services Department at the Main Library and with colleagues in the branches. In addition to staffing the children's reference desk, the candidate will be expected to initiate, plan, and implement a variety of programs and activities for children, from birth through grade 12, and school and community outreach. The applicant should have a passion for children’s literature and experience working with children and young adults from diverse ethnic and socio-diverse backgrounds.
