Technical Services Assistant, Full Time - New Milford Public Library. We’re
looking for a detail oriented, computer savvy Technical Services
Assistant to join the New Milford Public Library staff. This is a full
time position (40 hrs./wk.) that is responsible for ordering and
assisting in the processing of all library materials. Some time on the
public services desk will be required. Excellent customer service skills
are a must.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Maintaining the acquisitions management database. Assisting in the
repair of library materials. Handling incoming shipments and packing
materials for return. Maintaining data in the Integrated Library System.
Managing inventory of leased materials.
Eligible candidates
will have strong communication skills and be able to work with minimum
of supervision. A Bachelor’s degree is required or a Library Technical
Assistant Degree with equivalent experience in technical services in a
public library.
Salary range: $18-$20/hr. with an excellent benefits package.
