Program Coordinator - The
Stafford Library is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Program
Coordinator. The Program Coordinator is responsible for creating and
implementing programs for children, teens, and adults in cooperation
with the Youth Services Librarian and Library Director. Major duties
include planning and performing story times and other programs for
children, planning and conducting adult arts and crafts programs, and
other adult programs, evaluating and booking program performers,
managing reservations for the library’s meeting rooms for community
groups, and coordinating displays in our display cases for community
groups and individuals. The Program Coordinator is required to work
shifts at the circulation desk assisting patrons of all ages.
The successful applicant will demonstrate an understanding of quality
library programming for all age groups, have a strong commitment to
customer service, have the ability to work with other staff members as
well as the public, have the ability to communicate effectively both
verbally and in writing, and have the ability to work independently and
efficiently. Strong computer skills are required as well as the ability
to conduct virtual programs. Programming experience in a library or
comparable setting preferred.
35 hours per week Monday through
Saturday including some evenings. Salary range $17.20 - $19.11 per hour.
