Curator - Barnes Museum. The Town of Southington has an immediate opening for a Curator at the Barnes Museum.
The Barnes Museum is a historic homestead build in 1836 and home to a
large collection of family heirlooms, documents, and diaries. The house
remains as though the family has just stepped out.
The Curator
is responsible for the daily operations of the Barnes Museum under the
direction of the Executive Director, and preserving Southington’s
history through the Bradley Barnes Homestead and contents. Primary
responsibilities will include cataloging, filing and preserving
artifacts, as well as conducting and presenting programs.
This is a 35-hour per week union position with a 2021 hourly rate of $33.61.
