Library/Media Specialist - Helen Keller Middle School, Easton. Start Date: Commencing with the 2021-2022 school year. Official start date will be August 30, 2021.
Salary and Benefits: In accordance with the Easton Education Association collective bargaining agreement.
Ideal Candidates Will Possess: Enthusiasm for teaching and learning.
Motivation to work as part of a team to integrate library/media with
grade level curriculum content. Desire to implement emerging
technologies to support 21st Century skills. Ability to meet the diverse
and developmental learning needs of elementary age learners. Strong
collaboration and communication skills. Strong technology skills and
familiarity with a variety of research databases, Follett Destiny
software, curriculum related Web sites, and Google Workspace for
Education software. Familiarity with the Learning Commons model for
library media. Previous classroom teaching experience a plus.
Responsibilities: Library media instruction in a middle school setting.
Additional collaboration includes embedding technology and media
literacy and 21st Century skills into existing curriculum for grades
6-8.
