Adjunct Cataloging Librarian (part time) - Western Connecticut State University. Performs
original and copy cataloging through the creation of metadata records
to describe library materials in all formats (including but not limited
to books, serials, audio-visual, digital, and electronic resources).
Aids in the identification and creation of record format specifications,
and the development of procedures for MARC and non-MARC record
import/export, publication, and integration. Participates in collection
management efforts (including reading the collection, reclassifying
material, shelving, shifting, and weeding). Assists in the collection
and analysis of annual cataloging statistics. Required qualifications
include ALA accredited Master’s degree, prior professional experience in
an academic library, experience with cataloging schema, standards, and
tools, experience with integrated library systems. Max 19 hours per
