Full-Time Reference and Collection Development Librarian - Darien Library (CT) seeks an innovative, community-minded librarian to be an
active part of a close-knit, forward-thinking reference team. The ideal
candidate is highly collaborative and embodies compassion and empathy in
all interactions.
Reporting to the Head of Knowledge &
Learning Services, the person in this role will serve as the lead buyer
of Darien Library’s nonfiction collections, including print and
electronic works. As part of the Knowledge & Learning Services
Department, the candidate will work to position Darien Library as a
bastion of information and knowledge by curating our resources to meet
the interests of the community, responding to current events and trends,
and predicting future interests. This opportunity is perfect for
someone who will think creatively about the future of nonfiction
collections and is passionate about going above and beyond to help our
patrons meet their information needs.
Salary begins at $60,000 and is
commensurate with experience. Salary includes generous vacation, sick,
