Part-Time Library Assistant with focus on Adult Program Events - The
Oliver Wolcott Library in Litchfield has an opening for a part-time
library assistant with a focus on adult program events. This position
involves working the public service desk and working closely with the
Library Director to develop and select adult program events, and then to
coordinate and host those events.
It is an exciting opportunity
for someone who has excellent customer service skills, enjoys working
with the public, and has great curiosity and interest in learning. We
are seeking someone who is able to work independently and as part of a
professional team. The Oliver Wolcott Library has high standards of
service and dedication to excellence and seeks that in all of our staff.
22 hours per week. $15 to $16 per hour. Schedule: Sunday through
Thursday. This includes one to two evenings per week. The ability to
fill-in for other shifts when needed will be an important consideration.

innovations.
Qualifications: Demonstrated customer service
skills, excellent understanding of how to put things in numerical and
alphabetical order, excellent computers skills and working knowledge of
the Internet, ease in talking in front of an audience, enjoyment in
learning new topics, ability to take direction, demonstrated ability for
accuracy and attention to details, ability to achieve set goals in a
timely fashion, to work independently and with minimal supervision, and
ability to work with frequent interruptions.
