Adult Services/Technology Librarian - Thomaston Public Library. Seeking
a friendly, knowledgeable and tech-savvy professional to join our adult
services/reference team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent
computer literacy, communication and customer service skills.
Flexibility, creativity, a commitment for helping others and a sense of
humor are a must.
Duties: planning programming and instruction
in current and emerging technologies and social media; leading group and
one-on-one instructions in relevant technological topics; providing
reference and reader’s advisory service to the public; marketing the
library through social media and outreach activities.
Qualifications: Applicant must be highly proficient in computers and
have extensive knowledge of the latest technological and social media
trends, plus a demonstrated familiarity with library information
services. BA/BS or MLS Candidates working towards an MLS encouraged to
apply.
Hours: 35 hours per week including week day, week night
and weekend hours. All benefits and vacation. Hourly starting rate
$22.00-$25.00/hr depending on education.
