Branch Librarian - West Haven Library

Branch Librarian - The West Haven Library in West Haven, CT is seeking a Branch Librarian to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Ora Mason Branch, located in the West Shore section of West Haven. Duties include but are not limited to; supervising branch library staff, coordinating, implementing, and running programs, collection development for all ages, assisting patrons with readers advisory, reference and technology questions and concerns; assist with WHPL outreach, and may be called to work in other departments as needed. The successful candidate should be a team player and be able to work independently, be comfortable with technology and have a strong understanding of current library trends and principles. Required qualifications are an MLS from an accredited institution and minimum of 1-2 years of library experience. Knowledge of Sierra and working in consortia and urban libraries a plus. This position is 32 hours/week and a union position, with full benefits. Salary is dependent upon experience and meets CLA minimums.
