Full-Time Children's and Teen Programming Librarian - Rockville Public Library. SEARCH EXTENDED. The Rockville Public Library seeks a dynamic, driven, and creative professional librarian to work in conjunction with the Head of Children’s and Teens’ to provide 21st-century programs and services for youth ages 0-19 and their families. The ideal candidate can wrangle both teens and toddlers while discussing picture books and YA graphic novels with equal enthusiasm. The ideal candidate is familiar with 3D printing and preschool process art, can lead a Teen Advisory Board and a Baby Lapsit. They can build a wiggle bot and sing and dance to Shake your Sillies Out. They are fluent in technology, pop culture, social media, graphic design and relish the opportunity to encourage early literacy and to stimulate life-long learning. 
     Demonstrated experience in programming development and implementation, community outreach and engagement, and up-to-date knowledge of youth reading trends is required. This is a position with a lot of opportunities for professional growth and development. Creativity and breaking from the confines of traditional library services and programming is highly encouraged.
