Evergreen System Specialist – Bibliomation, Inc. (Waterbury, CT) is Connecticut’s largest library technology consortium consisting of over 68 member libraries. Bibliomation libraries share materials and manage resources using the Evergreen open source integrated library system. Bibliomation is seeking an Evergreen Systems Specialist to join the Evergreen support team. The Evergreen Systems Specialist will: report to the Evergreen Systems Manager, working closely to manage the Evergreen ILS system; assist in troubleshooting software issues by performing log analysis and error debugging; maintain Evergreen SQL database; monitor system performance and adjusts operating systems and applications to avoid performance issues; install and test new Evergreen software patches and releases; make recommendations or modify existing system configurations based on member library needs; perform systems integration of new Evergreen releases.
     Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer/ Information Science or related field; 1-3 years work experience; proficiency with Linux and Windows operating systems; strong relational database experience, including SQL scripting; familiarity with HTML, CSS, Angular, JavaScript, Perl; knowledge of library services and computer applications; knowledge and /or experience with networking; strong oral and written communication skills; ability to collaborate in a team environment. Working knowledge and /or experience with software development and version control; familiarity with libraries; experience with open source software projects; exceptional customer oriented service.
     Position: Fulltime, 35 hours per week. Salary is commensurate with experience. Bibliomation offers an exceptional benefits package.
