Library Services and Technology Act Coordinator - Connecticut State Library. The State of Connecticut, Connecticut State Library
(CSL), has one available opportunity for a Library Services and
Technology Act (LSTA) Coordinator. The LSTA Coordinator is responsible
for providing leadership and technical assistance in the areas of grant
administration and coordination for the Library and Services Technology
Act (LSTA) federal grants program. The LSTA Coordinator is also
responsible for promoting the federal e-rate program to Connecticut
libraries, reviews public library technology plans and works with the
Division team to foster a community service environment that harnesses
technology creatively to deliver information, resources and services.
This is a full time, 40 hour per week, position. Hours are Monday
through Friday, 8am - 4:30pm. This position is located at 786 South Main
Street in Middletown, CT. Salary: $79,047 - $101,662/year.
We are looking for someone with: A Master's degree in Library
Science (MLS) from an accredited institution. Knowledge of the Library
Services and Technology Act and associated funding processes. Knowledge
of methods for collecting, managing and analyzing data. Experience
training, mentoring and working with a diverse library community.
Experience planning, organizing and managing multiple tasks. Experience
interpreting and applying laws, regulations and standards governing
public libraries. Experience establishing and maintaining effective
working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders. Experience
working collaboratively as part of a team and in a changing environment.
Experience communicating clearly and effectively, by writing and
orally, with groups and individuals about complex federal and state
regulations.
