Long Term Substitute Library Media Specialist - Reed Intermediate School, Newtown Public Schools. STARTING DATE: Immediate through end of 18-19
school year. REMUNERATION: In accordance with contract agreement.
Placement upon appropriate step of salary schedule, contingent upon
qualifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and implement lessons that support
the library media curriculum. Collaborate with staff members to support
student research in the content areas. Appropriately delegate
responsibilities to library staff and parent volunteers. Commitment to
delivering technology-enhanced instruction. Desire to embrace the
cognitive/social developmental stage of young adolescence. Provide
guidance in the selection of appropriate reading material for curricular
requirements and recreational reading.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess or be eligible for Library Media Connecticut certification (048, 062).
