Manager of Library Public Services - Groton Public Library. Under direction from the Director of Library Services, the 
Manager of Library Public Services is responsible for managing, 
planning, organizing and supervising the services and activities of all 
public services provided by the Library to children, young adults, and 
adults. This position requires excellent verbal/written communication 
skills and the ability to manage full and part time employees.  A strong
 knowledge of library operating procedures and policies is required, as 
is experience in the implementation of developing technologies. The 
Manager also assists in near-term and long-range planning of library 
services and participates in preparation of the annual library budget.  
The Manager assumes responsibility for library operations in the absence
 of the Director.
                 The skills and knowledge required for a successful 
candidate would generally be acquired with a Master's Degree in Library 
Science and three (3) years of public library experience. The salary 
range for this position is $73,402-84,413 for a 40 hour work week. Must 
be able to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
