Part-Time/Substitute Reference Assistant - Plainville Public Library. The Plainville Public
Library seeks a part-time/substitute reference assistant with
exceptional customer service skills and a teamwork frame of mind. Hours:
10 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend shifts may be
required.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum two
years of progressively responsible experience in library reference work
is preferred. Working knowledge of Sierra ILS is favorable. Candidates
actively pursuing or possessing a Master’s Degree in Library Studies
(MLS) from an ALA-accredited institution will be given priority.
Salary: $20.35 per hour, depending upon qualifications
and experience. Sick leave is provided consistent with State of
Connecticut Regulations, but there are no other benefits associated with
this position. This is not a union-eligible post.
