Manager of Public Services, Central Branch - Hartford Public Library, a place like no other, is an award winning public library with seven locations in Connecticut’s capitol, serving the residents and visitors of this dynamic and diverse city. We are looking for a Manager of Public Services, Central Branch to help us take our resources and customer service to the next level. This position will work closely with the Director of Central Public Services and Head of Access and Information Services to blend leading edge library services with User Experience design approaches. Bilingual abilities desirable. Requirements: Master's in Library Science or Master's in Library and Information Science from an ALA accredited institution required. Three to five years of increasingly responsible experience and demonstrate leadership experience in a public library environment, preferably in an urban setting. Supervision of staff experience required. Ability to meet a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends. Access to reliable transportation required.
