Librarian II, Supervisor of Children's and Teen Services - East Hartford Public Library. The East Hartford Public Library is seeking an experienced youth librarian to join our collaborative and innovative staff as supervisor of children’s and teen services. The ideal candidate will possess the skills of a 21st century librarian, including knowledge of current technologies and trends. Requirements include collection development expertise, strong reader’s advisory and customer service skills, and community outreach experience, particularly school/library partnerships. Spanish language skills are desirable.
     The East Hartford Public Library underwent a renovation and expansion in 2015, including the creation of brand-new spaces for children and teens. The Library has a state-of-the-art Makerspace offering programs for children, teens, and adults.
     This is a full-time 35-hour per week position including evening and Saturday shifts.
     Qualifications: Master's Degree in Library Science, including course work in the specialty and three years of library experience (children's and/or teen) including one year of supervisory experience, or equivalent experience.
Salary range: $60,882 - $68,417 dependent on experience
