Part-Time Youth Services Library Assistant

James Blackstone Memorial Library is seeking an individual who enjoys working with children, teens and parents in a diverse community. Prior library experience, computer literacy, a familiarity with Microsoft Office and previous work with children/teens is preferred. Flexibility, creativity and an interest in innovative technology as well as assisting in programs is also desired. Successful candidates must possess excellent customer service skills and must be able to work courteously and tactfully at our busy youth services circulation desk. Candidates must be energetic, enthusiastic and attentive to detail, have the ability to multitask and lift up to forty pounds. High school diploma required, college degree a plus. 20hrs/wk, including a 4 hour night shift, an 8 hour Thursday shift and alternating Fridays and Saturdays at $13.19/hr. No benefits.
