Library Assistant - Oliver Wolcott Library/Litchfield

Library Assistant - The Oliver Wolcott Library in Litchfield, Connecticut is seeking two part-time library assistants with excellent customer service skills to work the public service desk and assist with other library duties. We are seeking someone who is able to work independently and as part of a professional team. The Oliver Wolcott Library has high standards of service and dedication to excellence and seeks that in all of our staff. The Oliver Wolcott Library averages about 250 patron visits each day. Library experience preferred (but not required). Demonstrated ability for accuracy and attention to details and to work under pressure. Ability to achieve set goals in a timely fashion, to work independently and with minimal supervision. Ability to effectively manage time, and to work with frequent interruptions. Demonstrated customer service skills. Part-time. One position is 20 hours a week including one evening and every Sunday. The other position is 17 hours a week and includes one evening and every Saturday. Both are at $11/hour.
