Consultant - EqualAccess LibrariesTM Professional Development Program. This position would be employed by the Libraries for the Future and work with the Connecticut State Library. A consultant to be based out of the Connecticut State Library is sought to lead the rollout and management of EqualAccess in Connecticut. This is a part-time position, ranging from 15 to 25 hours per week, with modest travel required within Connecticut and to other states participating in EqualAccess. The start date is immediate, and the position will continue through the spring of 2009. Compensation will depend upon experience and level of involvement, with a maximum compensation of $27,000 per year. Benefits are not included. Qualifications include: 3+ years experience in library, education, or nonprofit fields; Knowledge and familiarity with key issues impacting health consumers, baby boomers and older adults, and youth in Connecticut; Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
