Catalog Librarian (Part-Time) - Sacred Heart University

Catalog Librarian (Part-Time) - Immediate Opening. The Ryan-Matura Library of Sacred Heart University seeks a Cataloger to join its Technical Services Department approximately 12 hours per week. The Cataloger performs original and complex copy cataloging; coordinates and carries out projects to maintain and improve catalog access to materials; and provides direction to cataloging assistants and reviews their work. The Cataloger also participates in the professional work of the Library, including reference and instructional services. Requirements: Master's degree in library science from an ALA accredited institution. Knowledge of library cataloging practice and standards including AACR2, MARC21, LCSH, LC Classification, and OCLC. Familiarity with library systems technology. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
