Multimedia Archivist - The Knights of Columbus, the world's largest lay Catholic organization with 1.7 million members worldwide, has an immediate opening for a multimedia archivist at its International Headquarters in New Haven, Connecticut. Responsibilities include: Maintaining digital archives of photographs and AV material. Digitizing material not yet in that format, as well as arrangement, description and preservation of the original material. Consolidating photo/AV archival material from various departments in house. Creating a searchable multimedia database. Must be able to coordinate with various in house departments and external vendors on deadline-oriented projects. A degree in information science or library science or equivalent with courses in archival studies and two years of related experience required. MIS or MLS preferred.
