Librarian - Saint Francis Hospital

Librarian - The Health Sciences Library at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center is seeking a librarian to join our staff. Responsibilities of this position include providing reference services, including mediated database searching and formal and informal database instruction; assisting with collection development; promoting the library through outreach to clinical departments and other hospital staff; providing formal and informal library overviews and tours, especially at new employee orientation; and taking turns at the circulation desk. The candidate must be flexible and willing to participate in all of the tasks of running a medical library. Knowledge of medical terminology, the ability to work in a team environment, and critical thinking skills would be helpful. Must be able to multitask and set priorities in the day to day work day. An MLS from an accredited library school is required. Familiarity with integrated library systems, Endeavor in particular, is a plus.
