Reference / Liaison Librarian (University Librarian I/II/III - UCP V/VII/IX) Latin American & Caribbean Studies, Latino & Puerto Rican Studies, Spanish Language & Literature. The University of Connecticut Libraries. Search #07A072. Provides reference, research assistance and instruction in subject area; evening and weekend hours are required. Minimum Qualifications: A graduate degree in Library or Information Science from a program accredited by the American Library Association; undergraduate or graduate specialization in Latin American Studies or related areas; fluent command of both English and Spanish; demonstrated success instructing individuals and groups; experience applying computer-based technologies to educational programs; demonstrated working knowledge of current electronic and print resources relating to Latin American studies; excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree in Latin American Studies or other academic field with concentration on Latin America; collection development experience in a research library; experience providing outreach to faculty and students; experience processing and servicing manuscripts or archives in a research library; evidence of professional engagement.
