Director - Trumbull Library

Trumbull Library Director - The Board of Directors of the Trumbull Library System is seeking a dynamic, creative and collaborative individual who will assume the duties and responsibilities of the Director of the Trumbull Library System consisting of a main library and one branch totaling 39,000 sq. ft. The Trumbull Library System serves a population of 34,857 with an annual budget of $1.4m and a staff of 27 FTEs. The Library System has a collection of 172,000 items and a circulation of 416,516. The Director must have the ability to establish a positive working relationship with staff, general public and elected and appointed officials and possess the knowledge and experience in library technology and automation, programming, long range planning, budget management, innovative library practices and community relations. The Director reports directly to the Board of Directors. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in library management and a MLS from an ALA accredited institution. Salary: $71,484 plus excellent benefits package.
