Children's Librarian, Ridgefield Library

Children's Librarian - The Ridgefield Library seeks a Children's Librarian to be part of busy and responsive Children s Services team serving suburban town of 25,000 with strong focus on children and families. Primary duties include reference and readers advisory service to children, teens, and parents, with a concentration on K-5th grade; some collection development and programming responsibilities. Familiarity with print and electronic literature and materials for elementary school aged children requested; strong customer service orientation and computer skills desired; knowledge of trends in library planning and services for children a plus. MLS or enrollment in an accredited program required; public library experience preferred. Full-time position (35 hrs/wk), including some evenings and weekends in rotation. Starting salary $44,000 plus benefits. Position available immediately. Application form required.
