Reference Librarian - Quinnipiac University

Reference Librarian - The Arnold Bernhard Library of Quinnipiac University has an immediate opening for an energetic, team-oriented reference librarian for weeknight and Saturday hours during the academic year. Schedule will include one or two evening shifts (typically 5 p.m. - 10 p.m.) and Saturday hours 1 p.m. - 6 p.m., occasional daytime hours on an as needed basis, and the possibility of some additional summer and intercession hours. A typical work week will be 12-15 hours during the fall and spring semesters. The successful applicant will join a team of full and part-time professional librarians providing reference service to a primarily undergraduate population in a highly automated, proactive service environment. Continuing education through workshops and conferences is encouraged and supported; multiple skills, interests, and experiences are valuable. Required: ALA accredited MLS. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Experience with electronic reference resources. Preferred: One year or more of reference experience; academic library experience.
