The
Farmington Libraries is seeking an enthusiastic individual to work
closely with the Information Services team to deliver outstanding
customer service. The Information Services Assistant will be responsible
for assisting patrons at the Main Library with reference inquiries and
readers’ advisory; conducting one-on-one basic computer classes on a
variety of subjects; and working on other projects as assigned.
Qualified applicants must possess exemplary customer service abilities,
excellent oral and written communication skills, be self-motivated,
adept at using various types of technology, and work well in a team
environment.
A Bachelor’s degree and two years of customer
service experience are required. A Master's degree or coursework towards
a Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program
preferred. Public library experience preferred.
This is a
part-time 19-hour per week position that includes one evening per week
and every third Saturday. Hourly rate: $24.99/hour. This is a
non-benefitted position.
