Media Circuit Coordinator, Foreign Language & Independent Cinema (FLIC) - Connecticut Library Consortium. Part-time independent contractor position. Connecticut Library Consortium, a non-profit library service organization, has an opening for this contracted position through June 30, 2022 (estimated start date is end of June 2021 or later). Contract may be renewed annually. General position description: Coordinate foreign film DVD rotating collections for participating Connecticut libraries, and attend and manage collection "swap" events. Duties/Requirements: Position requires individual familiar with DVD collections who can efficiently manage workflow; process collection materials; maintain policies, procedures, and collection database; manage program budget; interface with CLC staff; and provide excellent customer service to circuit participants. Position is based in Middletown; circuit swaps are held at the Middletown Library Service Center. Relative proximity to this location is preferred. As swaps are held in person, the coordinator must ensure that state COVID-19 mandates, including masking, will be closely followed by all participants. 5-10 hours (average) weekly. No benefits. Must be able to carry and lift 20-25 lbs. Due to space limitations at the CLC office, must have adequate storage space for packets at home: either a large empty bookshelf or small spare room would be ideal.
