Part-Time Teen Librarian - Rockville Public Library,
Vernon Connecticut is seeking an energetic and creative person to fill a
vacant position. They must have a strong knowledge of Teen materials
and programming and understand current technologies. This individual
will work closely with the Library Director and other staff to develop
and implement Teen Services. He or she will be responsible for
collection development, teen programs and working with the community to
promote teen library services. The Teen Librarian will work a flexible
schedule which may include nights and weekends.
This part-time position is 20-25 hours per week with a
salary of $22-25 dollars per hour depending on experience and education.
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree plus classes in Library
Science or a Master’s Degree in Library Science from an accredited
college or university. Three years of progressively responsible
experience as a professional librarian in Teen Services is required.
