Circulation Assistant - Killingworth Library Association.
We are seeking an organized, outgoing person with excellent customer
service skills, who can perform a variety of clerical tasks at our
circulation desk. Duties include circulating, renewing and reserving
material using the automated circulation system (VERSO); registering new
patrons; managing and updating patron records including fines and
monthly overdue notices; handling reference questions; answering and
routing phone calls; emptying the book drop; shelving materials;
providing information about library policies, programs, and services;
assisting with opening and closing procedures; and other tasks as
requested by the staff. Applicants must enjoy working with the public,
and possess a high school diploma with two years of public library
experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer literacy with Windows is essential. Experience with a library
circulation system is highly desirable. Hours: Tuesday and Thursday
evenings, 4:30pm-8:00pm and every Saturday, 10:00am-4:30pm (13.5 hours
per week). Hourly rate of $14.25. Please submit your resume and a cover
