Library/Office Assistant for Circulation/Customer Service - West Hartford Libraries
seeks customer service-oriented individual to join our service team as
circulation assistant at a busy community-oriented facility offering
circulation/ reference/ children's services from a "one-desk" model for
10-15 hours weekly. Duties include: charging/ discharging materials;
answering phones and routing calls; collecting fines; issuing cards;
assisting patrons in the use of self-checkout stations; placing holds,
assisting with computers, and performing other duties as requested.
Pay: Minimum $17.77 per hour, depending on experience. Hours will
include days, nights and weekends. Requirements: Excellent
communication and customer service skills; prefer flexible schedule,
previous library experience, knowledge and/or training and experience
with III products, Millenium or SIERRA. Desirable: fluency in a second
