Children's Librarian - Wallingford Public Library
has an opening for a dynamic Children's Librarian / Early Literacy
Specialist. Library service to children is a priority at the Wallingford
Public Library. The Children's Room provides children and their
caregivers with a quality collection of materials, help locating
materials for both recreational and informational needs, and programs
which encourage a love of reading. The Early Literacy Specialist works
under the direction of the Head of Children's Services as part of a team
of professional Librarians to develop and deliver library programs and
services for children and families. This full time 37 ½ hour position
requires programming expertise, creativity, flexibility and the ability
to multi task, as well as excellent communications, interpersonal, and
organizational skills, knowledge of early literacy skills and children's
literature, and enthusiasm for work with very young children. Please
