Library Manager - The Hospital of Central Connecticut has an excellent opportunity for a Library Manager to join our Health Sciences Library. Reporting to the Director of Medical Education, the Manger will direct the activities of the Health Sciences Library, including strategic planning, development, evaluation, and outreach functions. Administrative responsibilities include: personnel management, space planning, fiscal management, collection development, outreach, quality improvement, and maintenance of resource-sharing arrangements with library consortia. Direct Service responsibilities include: advanced computer information retrieval, reference, and teaching. The qualified candidate will have an MLS with three years of relevant health sciences library experience. Expert knowledge of several computer-based systems including: biomedical online information databases and web services (e.g. Medline via NLM’s PubMed; DOCLINE; OVID databases; OCLC cataloging and ILL) is also required.
