Part Time Teen Librarian - Burlington Public Library
is looking for an energetic individual to take charge of our Young
Adult department. Applicant should have experience in initiating,
planning, and implementing a variety of programs and activities to
encourage the use of the library by young adults between the ages of 12
and 18, including but not limited to films and special events, reading
clubs, Teen Advisory Council, school and community outreach. Knowledge
of teen collection development, collection maintenance and cataloging
of materials helpful. Familiarity with Sirsi and Title Source is a plus.
The position is for 12 hours per week; afternoons, nights and rotating
Saturdays are required. Pay is $15.50/hour, no benefits. A Master’s
Degree in Library Science and previous experience with Teens preferred.
