Library Director – Palmer (MA) Public Library. Creative, energetic leader with strong public service orientation needed to direct all phases of operations in a busy vibrant library, recently expanded to 30,000 square feet on 3 floors; experienced staff of 10 FT and 1 PT personnel; serving a town of 12,000 people centrally located in the scenic Quaboag Valley; annual circulation of 161,757 (FY11); member of CWMARS network using Evergreen open source software. Knowledge of administrative practices, budget management, and library technology, plus ability to work well with public officials and community organizations required. Must have MLS degree from an ALA accredited program, plus 5 years minimum experience in a leadership position. Salary range: $58,000-$65,000. Review of applications will begin in July 2012.
