Teen Librarian - Avon Free Public Library

Teen Librarian - The Avon Free Public Library is looking for a dynamic, tech savvy, full-time professional to develop and manage the Teen services department. Avon’s teen services is geared towards ages 12-18 and is in the brand new library's very busy 2000 sq ft Teen Room equipped with study rooms and 21st century technology. This person should be energetic and enthusiastic about Teen Services. Responsibilities include teen programming, book talks, school visits, forming and managing a Teen Advisory Board, community activities, collection development, tech instruction, marketing, and readers' advisory. This person will also be part of the Children’s Services Team. Candidate will be creative, flexible, have knowledge of adolescent growth and development and understand behavior management. This position requires a Master's Degree in Information and Library Science and preferably a concentration in youth services. It includes some evenings and one Saturday a month.
