Reference Librarian - Post University

Reference Librarian - Post University is currently accepting applications for the role of Full Time Reference Librarian. Job Summary: The Reference Librarian will posses general knowledge of library processes and services, including the following: a strong customer service commitment by responding to the needs of the Post University community; competencies with technologies including personal computer applications and integrated library systems; ability to work with minimal supervision to initiate and complete projects; work both independently and as a team member; effectively communicate in both oral and written form. Schedule includes nights and weekend hours. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Master's degree or higher in library science, or library and information science from an American Library Association accredited college or university required. Two years experience in academic LRC preferred. 1-2 years of supervisory experience required. Reference and technical experience required. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Camtasia, Ebscohost, the iCONN Digital Library and Lexis-Nexis Academic Universe. Other database knowledge desirable. Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse population. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
