Library Relocation Project Manager - Clancy-Cullen Library Relocation and Storage

Library Relocation Project Manager - Clancy-Cullen Library Relocation and Storage has an immediate full-time position available for a professional librarian to manage projects of various sizes/scopes, primarily within the New York City and Tri-State area. Duties: Management and on-site supervision of relocation, shifting, shelf-reading, barcoding, integration/segregation and related library projects within the New York City and Tri-State area. Responsibilities include: communicating effectively with clients at all levels of library administration; bid and budget analysis; preparation of bid responses; proposal preparation; project design; collection mapping, quality control, productivity reporting; and billing. Qualifications: ALA-accredited MLS and excellent communication, organization, analysis and writing skills. Experience with relocation, shifting, stack management, high-density book storage facilities (scheduling pickups; coordinating all aspects of the storage process) and computerized locator systems/databases preferred, but training will be provided. Prior management experience in a related field will be considered. Excel knowledge a plus. A valid driver’s license is required. The successful candidate will be based in the firm’s Bronx office, with travel to the Patterson, NY office, as well as client sites in a geographic area from Albany to Philadelphia. Flexibility in work hours is required, and is dictated by project needs. Salary level: $55,000.00 to $70,000.00 depending on experience.
