Full Time Assistant Librarian - The Hoffman Family Library of Goodwin College
seeks an experienced librarian with the primary responsibility for
Information Technology. This librarian will: serve as senior advisor to
the director of library services regarding relevant information
technology developments, policies, security and management issues, and
resource needs; provide guidance, administrative oversight, and
management of library information technology services, including the web
page; share in other library functions, such as reference and
information literacy instruction, and represent the library in meetings,
campus committees, and professional organizations. Qualifications
include: ALA accredited MLS or MLIS and additional degree in an academic
subject; Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or experience
as an IT administrator or webmaster in college or university library;
Minimum of two years in an academic library, preferably one with nursing
and health sciences degree programs; Excellent oral, written, and
interpersonal communication skills; A record of professional
accomplishments, active participation in professional organizations,
scholarly activities, and a commitment to fostering the growth and
development of others; A demonstrated commitment and sensitivity to
diversity in the workplace. Salary is competitive and commensurate with
