Librarian - New Haven Free Public Library

Librarian - Part time. Experienced librarian needed for cataloging and other technical services projects. Requirements: MLS. At least 3 years of cataloging experience; this must include children's and adult books, DVDs, videos, books on CD, books on audiocassette and music CDs. Experience cataloging print serials is desirable. Knowledge of current cataloging standards and practices, including AACR2 Revised, Library of Congress Subject Headings, and Dewey 22. Experience cataloging with an automated library system, including text based and graphical interfaces. Prefer experience cataloging with Innovative Interfaces System, including text based and Millenium interfaces. Experience cataloging with reQuest is desirable. Must be computer savvy and able to troubleshoot technical problems. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is desirable. Please send cover letters and resumes to: K.
