Head of Public Services - The Wolcott Public Library is seeking an experienced library professional with strong customer service and reference skills to assist the Director in promoting the library. QUALIFICATIONS: An MLS from an ALA accredited program and experience working in a public library setting strongly preferred. Strong computer skills and supervisory experience preferred. Enthusiasm for learning and teaching. DUTIES: The Wolcott Public Library in Wolcott, CT is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, customer service oriented Librarian for the position of Head of Public Services. The Public Services Librarian is responsible for circulation and reference services. Supervises Circulation Department staff and assists Director with outreach. Guide patrons in the use of print materials, online catalogs, Internet & online databases. Maintains and develops reference collection and assist in developing online reference sources. Assists in collection development. Cataloging experience is a plus. Some Saturdays and one evening per week. SALARY: Meets CLA recommended minimum, plus excellent benefits package.
