Supervisor of Children's Services - Groton Public Library

Supervisor of Children's Services - Groton Public Library. The skills and knowledge required would generally be acquired with a Master's Degree in Library Science and three years of public library experience. This position requires excellent verbal/written communication skills and the ability to manage two full and one part time librarian, one part time programmer, one office clerk, three library aides, and two library pages. Responsible for the development and expenditure of $383,000 annual budget. A strong knowledge of children's literature and the needs of parents and children are required, as is knowledge of current library automation trends and experience in the implementation of developing technologies. A combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the responsibilities of this position may be considered in lieu of stated education and experience requirements. Must possess and maintain a valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License. Salary range: $57,000 - $68,000 with competitive benefits.
