Systems Librarian - Middlesex Community College

Systems Librarian - CCP 18 12 month, tenure track. Middlesex Community College, Middletown. ANTICIPATED STARTING DATE: May 2007. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: ALA-accredited Master's degree in Library Science or equivalent degree; at least one year of professional experience. RESPONSIBILITIES: Working in a team environment, under the direction of the Director of Library Services, the successful candidate will: (1) administer, configure, and optimize the library's automation system (Endeavor Voyager ILS); (2) design, develop and maintain library website; (3) configure library electronic databases and other applications that support the college's library services; (4) participate in library instruction and reference services; (5) contribute to the library's collection development and maintenance; (6) perform other duties as assigned. In addition, the individual will be expected to attend and participate in convocation and commencement ceremonies, serve on committees and task forces, and engage in professional development activities. This position may require work in the evening and occasionally on weekends.
