Head Librarian - Thomaston Public Library

Head Librarian - Thomaston Public Library, Thomaston, CT. The Board of Directors of the Thomaston Public Library is seeking a dynamic leader with excellent verbal and written skills, expertise in technology, leadership ability, the ability to work well with Board, staff and community and a vision for the future of the library. Requirements for the position are an MLS from an ALA-accredited institution and at least three years administrative experience in a public library. Salary range is $45,000-$53,000 plus excellent benefits. Position available July 15, 2007. The library has a budget of $350,000 and a staff of 4 full-time and 10 part-time employees. The library is located in downtown Thomaston (population 8,000) in a beautiful 9,000 square foot facility which combines the original 1901 Carnegie library and a modern building.
