Director of Development, Otis Library, Norwich

Director of Development - Otis Library, Norwich Connecticut. Part-time position (16 hour week) in a vibrant urban library. The Oits Library, the Norwich public library, seeks a high energy candidate to help increase gift income and volunteerism, and promote library visibility and public image. Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Director of Development will focus on enhancing the the library's annual fund and planned giving, developing and supervising annual fund raising events, including the highly successful "Evening with an Author", designing and disseminating publications and press releases, grant writing, and volunteer and donor recruitment. Salary $25.00/hour. Prerequisites include a minimum of five years experience in a non-profit environment, strong verbal and written communication skills, experience with computer-based development programs, and excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities.
